This page is for P7s who are starting at the Academy this year. We'd like to give a big welcome to all P7 pupils from Leith, Hermitage Park, Craigentinny and Lorne and a special hello to pupils coming from other primaries who may be joining us this year.

A Welcome from your Headteacher Leaving Primary School and joining Leith Academy is a really important time in your life. Whilst you may partly be looking forward to moving on, you may also have some concerns about the change. I understand this and the staff here want to help you settle in quickly and smoothly. Our aim is to ensure that each pupil gets the chance to develop their own individual skills, talents and interest. Getting off to a good start is vital! You will have received a lot of information about our school already and have probably visited on a few occasions. However, you will still have many questions. Please use this website to ask the ones that are important to you. We have a group of pupils here who will be happy to give you an honest answer! I hope you find this a helpful source of information. Meet your Depute Headteacher Hello! I am Mr Peat and I am the Depute Headteacher in charge of first and second year. I will be visiting our associated Primary schools this term and next term I wll be coming along with Your Year Head, Mr Hansen, to see you. I know that many of you have already visited the school or have older brothers or sisters here. (Don’t believe everything they tell you.)
