BOOKS
The information books are arranged on the shelves by subject.
e.g.796.33 = Football
The Catalogue tells us what books are in the library (catalogue cabinet & computer).
Remember you can use the books at home as well as in school.
Through the computer = 2 weeks
"In the Folder" = Overnight or to class
There are also reference books (encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc.) which can be used in school but cannot be taken home.
COMPUTERS
The computers are available for word-processing (not games).
We have the computers in the Resource Centre and the IT Room (remember the IT room is sometimes used by classes).
Remember you can book Computer Time.
CD Roms are available for information searches.
PROJECT BANK
These filing cabinets contain current information on a wide variety of subjects. These are arranged in alphabetical order. The folders can be signed out overnight. Sign out at the end of the day and return first thing in the morning.
CAREERS LIBRARY
The Careers Library is in the main Resource Centre.
Ask for details about any careers information you need.

The Phone in the library can be used to contact local sources of information.
Phone books and Yellow Pages are on the desk.
Remember to think about the information you need before you phone.
SENIOR STUDY AREA
This is the area at the back of the Resource Centre and it is reserved for the use of S5/6 pupils and adults who are working or studying in the Resource Centre.
