English Department; Standard Grade Revision Advice, Recommendations and Resources
You should have a revision timetable which enables you to complete a minimum of
two hours revision per week for Standard Grade English. Here are some ideas on how
best to use your time.

Answers for completed papers can be found in the back of these text books which
will enable you to track their progress.

Red Past Papers
|
|
Reading high quality / broadsheet newspaper articles.
|
Pupils would also benefit from writing a brief summary of the article as this will
also develop many of the skills required for close reading. Using a high quality
/ broadsheet newspaper to create their own Close Reading questions.
